Septic Inspection

Video Septic Inspections

Our septic inspections are very thorough and are conducted using state of the art color sewer camera equipment. Our inspectors each have over five years experience. Our only business is the inspection and preservation of existing septic systems. Not only do we inspect the septic system, we also educate you about the proper care and use of the system. We will check the following conditions:

  • Condition of septic tank
  • Effluent level in tank
  • Need for pumping
  • Condition of tank baffles
  • Condition of effluent lift pump (non-gravity systems)
  • Condition of effleunt pump chamber
  • Condition of pipe from tank to field
  • Condition of the distribution box
  • Soil clogging in leach field
  • Tree or plant root intrusion
  • Accumulation of solds in leach field

We will check for the following symptoms of a failing system:

  • Slow draining pipes from house
  • Persistent wet areas over the leach field
  • Sewage surfacing in the area of the septic tank of the D-box
  • Sewage seeping through the foundation
  • Elevated liquid level in leach field
  • Vegetation over leach field being greener or more lush than rest of yard
  • Sewage odor in yard
  • Effluent flowing back from leach field to septic tank

We will provide you with guidelines to help you maximize the life of the septic system.

Testimonials

“We had our septic system rehabilitated about 4 1/2 years ago and decided to use the White Knight Microbial Process. At the time the use of aerobic bacteria was new technology for single residences but we were anxious to embrace the new process. Using the White Knight, the environmental impact is certainly lessened, the functionality is supreme and the impact to our budget was (and continues to be) significantly less than a traditional system. The fact that the process satisfies Massachusetts Title 5 requirements was also instrumental in helping us reach our decision. Septic Preservation Services has responded quickly when we have had questions and feel that if there is ever a problem in the future, they will take that same approach to resolve any issues.”
